Wilko Short Stippling Brush, Maybelline The Nudes Eyeshadow Palette, Primark Earrings, Accessorize Elephant Necklace, The Walking Dead, Suits USA, Malta. My March favourites – Here are the things I loved this month.
Wilko Short Stippling Make -Up Brush £4.00 – When I saw the makeup brush range at Wilko I couldn’t get over how similar they look like the Real Techniques range. Wilko have their brushes on display, which is great as you can feel the bristles and have a good look at the product before you decide to purchase it. What sold it to me is that the bristles felt super soft. I purchased the short stippling brush which I wanted to use for powder and contour rather then foundation. The first time I used it I could not get over how soft it felt on my face, the contour was blending really well. I’ve not used this brush to apply foundation so I can’t comment on how well the brush will work for applying foundation. This product is super soft, great to use for contour and bronzer and its great value for money at only £4.00. I will definitely be looking to try out some of the other brushes in this range.
Maybelline Eyeshadow Palette – The Nudes £7.99 – I love to wear eyeshadow on a daily basis just to give my eyes a lift and some colour. I was looking to invest in a drugstore palette which was pigmented, lasted pretty much all day but importantly contained colours which are gold and browns. After reading some reviews I decided to purchase Maybelline The Nudes eyeshadow palette. It has a combination of nude colours shimmering golds, browns, bronze and a matt black. Here is what I love about this palette, the colours are great and last all day which for a drugstore product is great. On the days that I don’t want to wear eyeliner I use the matt black to create a subtle eyeliner effect. The colours definitely have a multi-purpose where you can wear some of the colours during the day and then create a new combination of shimmering colours for an evening look. One thing I really like is the size of the palette I recently went on holiday and I didn’t want to take too many products with me so taking this palette was perfect, it fitted perfectly into my make up bag and it contained a great combination of nude colours.
Primark Earrings £1.50– I wanted to get some earrings to wear on a daily basis, mainly so that my earholes don’t shrink. I love the bohemian style so when I found this set of earrings I thought it was perfect to wear. My favourite are the feather earrings in this set, but the different combination of earrings means that I have a set to wear for different occasions and different outfits.
Accessorize Elephant Necklace – I brought this necklace a long time ago from Accessorize. Elephants are one of my favourite animals so when I saw this I just fell in love with it. I have wore it so many times in particular with summer dresses, jumpers, long length tops. I really like the long length of the necklace and the intricate detailing on the elephant.
The Walking Dead – Fox TV, UK – I am a really big fan of The Walking Dead and I have been watching it since it first became televised. It is now up to season 6 and I’m still enjoying it as much as I did when I watched the first episode. The Walking Dead is based on a comic book series which is about a group of survivors who are living in a world which has been taken over by the dead aka zombies. So if you love anything zombie related I recommend that you check out The Walking Dead. As well as survival, the series also focuses on relationships between different people and groups and the back stories of each character. As the episodes progress you start to see how each character’s personality is developing and changing because of the challenges that they are faced with in an apocalyptic world. It’s a brilliant tv series and I can’t wait for season 7.
Suits U.S TV Series – Dave TV, UK – I got introduced to this tv series last year and I have just finished watching season 5. Suits is a legal drama / comedy tv series. The series focuses on a high end legal company whose top lawyer Harvey Spector hires an intern Mike Ross who has a photographic memory and manages to pass himself of as Harvard graduate and get hired in one of New Yorks top firms. Suits keeps you gripped with a brilliant storyline, each episode focuses on different legal cases and of trying to win each case but also trying to maintain the secret that the law firm is illegally employing a lawyer who does not have a law degree. I love the characters, the wit, suspense and drama that make this a top legal tv series. I would highly recommend it and be warned as you will become hooked.
Malta – 5 nights away to the beautiful Island of Malta. The perfect way to say goodbye to Winter and end the month of March. The island is small, beautiful and a great destination to experience a short holiday. The local people are really friendly, and the island consists of old fortified cities and architecture, beautiful bays and lot’s of British influences from old postbox and telephone box to the tour buses actually previously were old London transport buses.
